Ronald Reagan Equestrian Center About the 2008 Miami International South Florida and Miami-Dade County have a long evolving history in both agriculture and cattle in a state known for both. The first Miami International Agriculture & Cattle Show will be an opportunity to showcase the significance of these activities to South Florida. The four day event will take place on May 15-18 and is expected to attract regional agri-business interests and others, from South America, Central America, the Caribbean and other parts of the World. For our foreign visitors Miami is a perfect stop-over for those going on to the World Brahman Congress XIV in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition to a cattle show there will also be agriculture trade exhibits, vendors, equestrian activities and demonstration events, plus other livestock exhibits. Entertainment, consumer education and information activities will be high-lighted. The event will be held in The Ronald Reagan Equestrian Center at Tropical Park, a premier park in the Miami-Dade Parks system. Located in the heart of Miami-Dade County (Palmetto Expressway and Bird Road) the park is easily accessible from Miami International Airport, only 15 minutes away by automobile. We are sure that the Miami International Agriculture & Cattle Show will open-up new opportunities for commerce and tourism. It will also present the opportunity for members of the Florida agriculture and cattle industries to network together with similar industry members from throughout Latin America. One of the featured components of the show will be a series of lectures and workshops conducted by experts in forage production, nutrition, animal health, genetics, ethanol and bio-fuels. The event will also provide an additional recreational and leisure activity opportunity to both residents and visitors of Miami-Dade County. This event will become an annual tradition, for all to enjoy.
